Team 8-Ball with their What The Puck?! Championship Trophy

The stakes were high this past Saturday when eight of the most skilled and aggressive teams in the city descended upon The Rink at The Standard, New York to compete in the first ever What The Puck?! Hockey Tournament 2011.  

The day get off to a cold and rainy start, but that did not deter the teams from sharpening their blades and hitting the ice for warm up.  The HighLine Heros faced off with Team 8-Ball in a fierce battle to be the first qualifiers.  8-Ball took the win.  The competition went on all day with the teams whittling down until we were left with just Team 3-Way having their way with Team 8-Ball…which seemed all too familiar, but I digress…

It was a day for the sports history books.  When future generations speak of the great sports moment of 2011, they will remember 8-Ball taking the What The Puck?! Championship and the Green Bay Packers winning the Superbowl.
