The Standard

I know I have been going on and on about our dramatic Standard ice skating rink, but this kind of skating drama is not for the faint of heart.  According to Gawker, a Swedish couple was long-distance ice skating on the frozen sea (?!?!?) when a boat when by and broke up their never ending “rink”.  Trapped on an ice floe, the woman called S.O.S. on her cell phone and a helicopter, which apparently stopped for photos, rescued them!  While they waited, they hopped floes for fun….but where did they leave their martini glasses?!?!  If you read Swedish, check out the full article in the Swedish newspaper, Aftonbladet.
