Last week’s Food & Wine Festival was officially a tasty success with top chefs representing. The best of the best convened at The Standard, New York, over a few days — be it cooking for a lucky few or sharing tips & tricks with a bigger audience. NBC was smart enough to sit with some of these great minds and ask them a few questions on camera.

Eric Ripert calmly and logically explained why he dissed Gordon Ramsay on Twitter while Christina Tosi proudly describes the origin of Momofuku’s famous Crack Pie — “It named itself” she laughs. April Bloomfield explains why she chose to work at Spotted Pig by confessing co-owner Ken Friedman is “a lovable guy”, along with partner Mario Batali at the Spotted Pig. “It’s about the passion” she says. Damn straight, April. Keep up those perfect Spotted Pig burgers. We agree.
