This invitation goes out to the New York readers. If you don’t already know, the city boasts a casual running team called the BridgeRunners who are a cool crew of creatives — artists, directors, skaters, designers, graffiti artists and other talented misfits from all walks of life. It’s a tribe of creatives, if you will— all pushing each other to new heights, and building the stamina that this hard city demands.

Earlier this Summer, the runners consolidated their voice with 5 other major cities worldwide. The global race represented a unified commitment to fight HIV and Aids in Africa. The Standard, New York, stood in solidarity with our very own running team represented in the race. Check out the video and website here which includes runs in Berlin, London, Milan, New York, Paris, and Tokyo.
But back to the New York crew. This particular month, one of our favorite photographers, Tim Barber, captured some of the New York family of BridgeRunners and is presenting his works this Thursday from 7-9pm. Don’t forget to RSVP. See you on the Bowery!
