Jenniffer Tang (with 2 N’s & 2 F’s), or “J-Tang” to those that know her, is cute as a button but don’t let that sweetness fool you, she’s one tough cookie. She can handle difficulties with a smile and always has the best accessories. She’s a true asset to the front desk at The Standard, Hollywood. We all adore her and know you will, too!

First off, tell us a bit about your background, and what you do at The Standard hotel?
I’ve worked in hospitality for about 5 years now. Started off at The Marriot then to The Hilton and here I am now. Hospitality is my passion. You know you were meant for a certain career when you wake up and don’t mind going to “work”.
What’s your favorite secret spot in Los Angeles?
I’m an adventurous person and I’ve been to a lot of places. But one that keeps me coming back would be Eaton Canyon Falls. I was first introduced to Eaton a year ago when my boyfriend took me on my birthday. I try to go there at least once a month and during the summer at least once every other week. It’s a great 2 mile hike and well worth it when you reach the waterfall.
iPhone or Blackberry? What APP do you use the most?
Defiantly iPhone, but I can’t lie – I was a BB girl for awhile and was anti-iPhone! I’ve been hooked on ‘Instagram’
What’s one of your most memorable moments in the building?
The most memorable moments in this building are the times when I would show up to the front desk thinking it’s going to be a normal day – silly me, we ARE in Hollywood! – and while I’m doing my reports at 7AM I look up to see a naked man walking down Sunset Blvd with what seems to be 100 balloons attached to his waist. Or when I see a man dressed as Jesus walk down Sunset Blvd every day at 3:30pm. It’s never a dull day here.
I spend most of my time thinking about ____________?
Food and traveling! I always have to know what’s in store for me during lunch time.. I love that we have a whole month schedule of what they will be serving for lunch. That way I can decide if I need to go out for lunch or if it’s good enough for me to stay. I hope to one day have the opportunity to travel all around the world and try all the different foods and experience all the different cultures.
What was the last song you downloaded?
Kayne West and Jay Z “Watch the Throne” it’s on repeat in my car. I’m the one that you see on Sunset singing at the top of my lungs in the car next to you in traffic.
What is your favorite movie based in a hotel?
“Maid in Manhattan”, because it’s something I can see happening in real life. “Just Go With It” and of course, “Hotel Rwanda”. I can never watch that movie and not find myself tearing up.
Your top pool memory at The Standard this Summer?
The Skateboarding Magazine Party! Although they were a handful, I must admit, but I didn’t mind it at all. I met so many great people. They were all friendly and the event itself was phenomenal! Can’t wait to see them all again next year.
When you finally break free from work, what is the next awesome place you plan to vacation to?
None other than the Philippines. I’ve heard so much about the place and I definitely LOVE Filipino food.
