Meet Ana Paula, our lovely Sales Manager at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach. Ana Paula is Brazilian and has the immediate urge to live by the ocean. Thank god we were able to keep her and make the dream happen. Here’s a little chat with our girl from Ipanema…
Full Name: “Ana Paula” Vargas Melego Sansone AKA Paula Sansone
Exact Title: Sales Manager, The Standard, Miami
Sun Sign: Scorpio
First off, tell us a bit about your background, and what you do at The Standard?
I’m originally from Brazil, born in Porto Alegre and grew up in Ipanema, Rio De Janeiro. My whole name is more like a phrase so I had to simplify it. Back home we are a party of 5 – which just means there’s no such thing called “privacy” with my family! I moved to Miami in 1999. I found myself studying and working part time for a hotel. I never left the industry and every time I tried doing it, it pulled me right back in. I have worked in many old and new hotels in Miami, and I realized that I loved it so much that doing anything else would just be boring to me. I love Miami and the ocean puts me at ease. I am the new Sales Manager and I am having a great time!
What’s your favorite secret spot in Miami?
I am a foodie person so any new good place becomes my favorite place, however a place that recognizes me by my name and makes me feel at home is “Bond Street”… plus I love their sushi.
iPhone or Blackberry? What APP do you use the most?
I am a “crackberry” addict. Got the new bold “touch screen.” Wikitude is my bible.
What’s one of your most memorable moments in the building?
Beautiful Sunsets! Every day is a breathtaking surprise.
I spend most of my time thinking about…?
Where to go visit next…
What was the last song you downloaded?
“Pumped up Kicks” by Foster the People.
What is your favorite movie based in a hotel?
The Shining… (Here’s Johnny!)
How has 2011 treated you so far?
With hopes to a better 2012.
When you finally break free from work, what is the next awesome place you plan to vacation to?
Gosh, the list is endless… new boyfriend, so I have to introduce him to the family, so Brazil and Italy are a must.
