The Standard Hotel was proud to welcome the esteemed British illustrator James Jarvis to New York last week to unveil his first new narrative in five years. His book, De Profundis, is a colorful existential walk through the mind of Jarvis who cites Albert Camus and Richard Scarry as influences. Part of the unveiling included exclusive drawings which were part of his study for De Profundis. These drawings showcase his interest in medieval woodcuts and Dutch De Stjil.

His personal drawings are each 8.27 x 11.69 inches in size – and the best part – we have a few on sale at The Standard Shop online for a limited time.
