This week, in Miami, was the kick off to this year’s market with an exhibit featuring the stunning photographs of Scott Frances on Wednesday evening. Ocean Drive presented “Awareness of Detail” with moderator and Standard collaborator John Lin (also Style Editor at Ocean Drive). Panelists included Barbara Barry and Scott Frances. To put it simply, John Lin delved into the minds of Barbara Barry and Scott Frances and their awareness to detail. These two creative minds focus on the refinement and precision of proportion and line in their fields. Perfection is something these two are familiar with as they are both adamant that it is the smallest finishing touches that create the final masterpiece. Barbara creates while Scott captures the moment.
The other major happening was called “Colorful Characters” with John Lin moderating and panelists Eileen Kathryn Boyd and Windsor Smith. Who says fall colors have to be burgundies and browns? Certainly not the hot blooded panelists. These characters are known for lighting up a room with their bright and bold palettes and prints. John Lin walked the audience through their creative process in developing their fearless, unique and expressive styles. All in all, a major success.
