The Standard

We were lucky to have architect and designer extraordinaire Rafael de Cárdenas spruce up our Shop at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach last Art Basel. This time we needed something else from him – we needed to know what his secret travel item is.

“I don’t go anywhere without ear plugs because I am scared of noise when I sleep. I sleep with earplugs every night of my life and I have since I was about 18. I use a brand that comes in a green box and the ear plugs themselves are green. They’re for kids because I guess my ear canals are small so I need the small ones.”
