Still, sparkling or tap? If this is a choice you make with any frequency, you should know that this week is World Water Week. “Oh, World Water Week, is that like Restaurant Week and everyone celebrates the finest waters from around the globe?” you ask. That’s very erudite of you, but nope. Water Week is when The UNICEF Tap Project shines a little PR light on the fact that everyday – everyday – 4,000 children die from some wretched disease they got because they have to drink dirty water. Yup, it’s a “cause” post, just keep reading a little more.
If you find yourself dining at one of our five hotels now through March 31st, you will see a little line where you can leave a dollar donation for your tap water. For every dollar donated a child will receive 40 days of clean drinking water. This year’s Tap Project funds will help children in Togo, Cameroon, Mauritania and Vietnam. So drink up everyone!
