The Standard

When I put out a call to action, most of you are smart enough to heed that call. For those of you who came to hang out with me this past Saturday at Adidas’ 11th annual Fanatic Soccer Tournament, you know what I’m talking about. For those of you decided to ignore me, use this as a reminder for next time. (If you haven’t noticed, I’m feeling a bit militant this morning!)

The tournament was one for the books. The Standard, Futbol Club took on V Magazine in what was a very close game where they won 3-1. Who knew a bunch of fashion editors knew how to play soccer? Next up, we took on the boys at The Ace Hotel and SLAUGHTERED them in true hotel rivalry fashion. The Complex Magazine boys didn’t fair too well either. Bloodbath. Our last stop on the Torture Train was Opening Ceremony. We’re sure they’re in pain today.

The Standard, Futbol Club took their game to the Playoffs, but unfortunately, we did not beat out the quiet storm that was The Smile’s team. They made their way straight through to take the championship.
