The Standard, Hollywood and The Standard, Downtown LA are pleased to present our next collaboration with Art Production Fund with LA native artist Pearl C Hsiung’s work ‘round the clock on the 24/7 Projection.

Hsiung’s oddly mesmerizing work can be at times equally difficult to watch, as in Volcanic Ash, featuring a close up of the artist’s teeth, blackened, while she sings. Filled with trippy imagery, and lighthearted sci-fi undertones, Hsiung’s videos (the artist is also the star) bring various elements and themes of her paintings to life.

Previously featured at Honor Fraser (LA), The Studio Museum (NY), The Centre National d’art Contemporain (Nice, France) and too many other galleries and museums to mention here, Hsiung is also a participant in The Hammer Museum’s massive Made in LA initiative.

Art Production Fund (APF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to producing ambitious public art projects, reaching new audiences and expanding awareness through contemporary art.
